Parramatta Eels splash out and have a ball at Appin
TWENTY-FIVE players from the Parramatta Eels showed their fire power at the Delta Force paintball centre at Appin on Tuesday.
Two teams made up of the club’s junior and more senior players faced off on themed-paintball courses titled Tomb Raider, Tropic Thunder and Speedball.
Eels football operations manager Gareth Holmes said the players enjoyed the day of competition and team bonding.

The older players won out on the day but Mr Holmes said the competition was strong.
“When you get guys like that together they are going to be competitive, they are extremely competitive in whatever they do,” he said.
“The guys at Delta Force were very happy to have us there and looked after us. We will be going back there again in either the pre-season or the off-season.”
The Chronicle’s photographer Ian Svegovic was not spared in the melee, copping a paintball shot to the hand and another to the chest. Delta Force managing director Leon Bubenicek said he enjoyed hosting the Eels players.
