"I work the hardest on my words," said Brennan. "Writing a song is like painting. You have a canvas and it's all shades and colors. "

Brennan wrote his texts cryptically related to the Irish tradition of using references to nature, such as land, sea and mountains, to describe the emotions and passion around the theme of the song. She pens tunes mostly secular, although she has also written two contemporary Christian albums. They were boosted after a tour in America, where Brennan noticed that many Christians Celtic records by non-Celtic artists.

"I wanted to delve into the idea of the place is Ireland and Celtic spirituality and how this part is important because when people immigrated to Ireland years ago, two things they they carefully took with them was their culture and spirituality, faith, "said Brennan." Spirituality is always important to me and you may feel that in my songs anyway."

Brennan grew up in the countryside, where the nearest neighbors were his grandparents and uncle. She was the eldest of the father of nine children.Brennan the band had a show, and in the mid `60, decided to buy a pub. He called Leo Tavern.

"What he wanted to do was to create a tavern that was an entertaining place where families could come, where people could get up and sing with him on stage," said Brennan. "I do not believe that 'there are many singers, especially of my generation, who have not been on this stage with my father."

Brennan children working at the tavern during the school holidays and also share their talents on stage, singing and playing guitar, flute, bass, harp and other instruments. The children began combining harmonies and arrangements influenced by the artists they listened, as Joni Mitchell, the Beatles and the Beach Boys, with traditional songs they have done.
