I.S.T. Baseball Headquarters 2011 Elite Summer Baseball Camps are open to all Darien, New Canaan, and Stamford residents. Our NEW location is right around the corner at the Norwalk Beach Baseball Complex. Unbeatable price of $205/week for players ages 5-12. Camp Dates: July 11 to July 15, July 18 to July 22 and Aug. 8 to Aug. 12. Amazing staff includes Mike Diaz , Houston Astros and Dennis Accomando , Atlanta Braves . Usually, Christian Bible group icebreakers emphasize group creativity and group interaction, to make the whole activity of studying the Bible more relaxed and fun. The combination of fun-work-fun usually works well especially if you are studying material as important as the Holy Bible.

Guessing games

Guessing games are usually played to reinforce certain things learned during Bible study session. Usually, the organizers have already prepared the things to be guessed even before the weekly sessions begin. Charades is also a great way to slowly reveal to people particular temperaments and attitudes of individual members of the Bible study group. This would in turn facilitate interaction among members, leading to a more solid, friendly group of people.

Guessing games are good icebreakers because they ease the tension from worried minds; if something deep and profound has been bothering someone from the group, the icebreaker would provide the minor distraction. It’s a good type of distraction, since icebreakers are provided during the middle or end of sessions.

Peer-interaction games

There are also icebreakers that require some degree of persuasion. For example, some icebreakers require members to convince other members to do something else (e.g. drop a card for another card of a lower value). If the persuasion is convincing, then the other person loses and changes place with the winner. These games foster friendly competition among members of the Bible study group, but the competition ends there. Beyond the icebreakers, they would still be required to treat the subject matter as seriously as before. Icebreakers also provide a fun avenue for people to exchange humor with each other.

Group-interaction games

To foster more friendly competition and to encourage bonds between groups of members, group-interaction games may be played as icebreakers. Guessing games can be group-interaction games, but not necessarily every time. Group-interaction games, such as acting out a skit, are longer to complete than pair-interaction games and simple guessing games; the optimum time for such games is 2 minutes per round. For example, If you want to play six rounds at 3 skits per group, you simply have to adjust the time allotted for the game. Simple word combinations would ensure that the answer can be hit upon within a short time frame. Anything more complicated might cause delays (which would defeat the whole purpose of an icebreaker).  Other Bible group icebreakers include songs, and the recitation of favorite passages from the Holy Bible.
