Hot in Cleveland Cast Receives Key to the City

 Cleveland Ohio  -June 17th  On June 16th 2011 it really was Hot in Cleveland as the cast from TV Lands first original hit series Hot in Cleveland received keys to the city at the grand staircase at tower city. Betty White, Wendie Malik, Jane Leeves and Valerie Bertinelli were each given individual keys presented to them by Mayor Frank Jackson.

Standing by Bertinellis' parents, I had an up close and personal view of the stage, and even receiving a wave and a Hi from Jane Leeves. When they went up and spoke at the podium Wendie Malik talked about her tie to Ohio from having attended Ohio Wesleyan College. Betty White said they Cleveland had one of the best zoo's she has ever been to. Jane Leeves described Cleveland as "The Best Hidden Secret in America." Valerie Bertinelli was the last to speak, even taking a jab at Lebron James saying "Cleveland is a great city, you don't need Lebron."

The Hot in Cleveland cast began their trip across Cleveland on Wednesday. They were the guest of honor and the Rock in Roll Hall of Fame's red carpet premier of the Woman in Rock exhibit. They will end their trip to Cleveland on Friday, Bertinelli is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Indians VS Pirates game.

Terminal Tower Observation Deck at Tower City Center open weeken ...

Effective immediately, the Terminal Tower Observation Deck is open to visitors, continuing weekends through Sunday, Dec. 18.

Visitors will be able to experience one-of-a-kind views of downtown Cleveland on Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

Reservations and tickets sales are officially open for all weekends through June.

Tickets are $5 per person (plus handling fee), with free admission for children ages 5 and younger. Tickets for future weekends are available by clicking "View other Forest City Enterprises events" on the respective pages. While purchasing tickets in advance is recommended, a limited number of walk-up tickets may be available on tour days only by visiting the Guest Services desk, located on Level 1 of Tower City Center.

Perched on the 42nd floor of the Terminal Tower, the Observation Deck was closed after Sept. 11, 2001. Since then, Forest City has completed a $40-million interior and exterior renovation of the Terminal Tower.

The Observation Deck, which was renovated and restored to resemble its original, Art Deco-inspired design, reopened to sell-out crowds in 2010.
