'The Voice' recap: Who survived?

Oh yes, it was ladies night on the second live episode of The Voice on NBC as four players were revealed as safe and eight more competed for four remaining slots in the competition.

Host Carson Daly got everyone right down to business by re-introducing Team Christina and putting the judge on the spot by asking her what was going through her head as her team was about to be cut in half.

If you saw how elaborate her get-up was in the last live broadcast, her simple yet revealing little blue dress, gave her a more pulled-together look. Yes, the dress was literally and figuratively TIGHT. As members of her team stood onstage awaiting their fates, Aguilera's voice broke when she started to talk. "Honestly, my heart's beating so fast. I've grown so attached to all of you," she said. But then, shaking away that emotion, she continued, "But it's a competition and we need to get down to business."

Daly announced the viewers choice was veteran bar singer Beverly McClellan, whose rendition of Melissa Etheridge's I'm the Only One had the audience on its feet last week.
